December 1-31-Documented Rights
The National Archives at Atlanta features more than 80 documents, images, photographs and sound recordings that chronicle the evolution of human and civil rights in the United States. From a slave manifest dated 1844 to the five cases that comprised the 1984 Brown v Board of Education decision, the exhibit gives voice to those who fought for or championed personal rights and freedoms. Each of the exhibits five historic theaters features a signature personality and thematic song. FREE ADMISSION. Festival of Trees and Lights
December 2-18, from 6:30 pm till 9:00 pm nightly. Opening ceremony December 2, starting at 5:30pm till 6:00pm. Activities include: Arts and Crafts, Face Painting, Concessions, Live Entertainment, Hayrides, Cake Walks, Gingerbread Decorating, and Photos with Santa! December 9- Yule Log Celebration
December 9, 2011 at 7:00pm at the Reynolds Nature Preserve. Join us for an evening of music, refreshments, and fun as we follow a candlelit path through the woods to a bonfire for a live theatrical performance and a search for the fabled Yule Log.
